    PSP disk stuck in wii

Let me first say that I did not do this, it was my little sister. One of my games didnt ahve the plastic case on it and she walked up and put it in. Do i have to buy one of the tri-wing screw drivers to get the disk out? I have a small enough regular screw driver to take out the phillips, but i cant get the tri-wing out. Can i take the disk out with just that screw driver? I can hear the disk moving around in the console, and im 99% sure its a PSP disk.

It's easy to get into without a triwing. Just use the smallest/next-to-smallest size flathead screwdriver out of a set like this:

If you get it in there just right you will have to tighten your grip a little more than usual but you can get them out. Did it many times before I got my triwing. Separate the top and bottom shell of the case, then you can access the drive. If you can't get the disc to come out then you can remove the top cover on the drive by means of 5 phillips head screws (4 along the back and 1 in the front left from the disc slot).

Lift the left side off first (again from the side the disc slot is on) and gently nudge to the right as you pull it off. Be careful not to pull too hard or twist as there is a long, thin ribbon cable leading to the bottom side of the drive and connected to the main board.

By that point you have access to anything that is stuck inside. Be careful not to touch or screw up the exposed drive lens.

I think i got one of the smaller ones in that set, on the front plate where the eject buttons are and such it is just barely too large to fit just the length of one of the three lines of the screw. Will this work?

You just have to play with it a little until it fits in there securely. If it's too large you'll know because it will never slide into place. If it's too small it will never lock in. It should fit squarely between two of the three indentations of the screw. From there it should unscrew like normal. I would get the exact size of the one I used but the case is lost in a pile of boxes somewhere around the house.

My screwdriver broke, can anyone recomend a set of both the phillips and tri-wing for me to buy? I looked at Amazon and all the ones there are 50-50 on the good to junk rating for them.

I can give you the contents of my piggy bank, although i dont think you will be happy with the outcome. How much do you want for it? Could someone still recomend a set of phillip and the tri-wing screwdriver?
