    Thanks for the tip. I misread that part as being optional if you had a System Menu above 4.1U and needed to downgrade. Not as if you had a 3.1U and had to upgrade.

    Yes, but in the case of this member, it seems more than obvious to follow the upgrade part if he's at firmware 3.1. Especially because he knows it doesn't work with 3.1.

    Bandicoot and Joostin are correct: You need to read these guides thoroughly and accurately if you are to follow them and manage not to brick your console. Everything said in this thread was to your benefit, as I know these guys and they would not want anything bad to come of your experience here. Next time you request advice, I suggest you be a little more open to the suggestions of other members on this forum.

    This issue has been resolved and the thread is closed. Any other questions about a particular guide should be asked within the thread for that guide.
