Updating Hone Brew Channel from 1.01 to 1.08

Hi, I currently have a 3.2 Wii with HBC ver. 1.01. My system prompts me to upgrade to HBC ver. 1.08. Any issues with updating.

Install IOS 58 first if you don't have it then install latest homebrew channel.

Thanks. While I have your attention, I am having a problem playing a Just Dance 2 game that my daughter received as a gift. When I start up the Wii and insert the cd, I see the game icon in the first block. When I click on it and hit start, the screen goes black and locks up my Wii. I read some threads which prompted me to install syscheck which confirmed I did not have the required IOS53 file. I used Wad manager to install the IOS53 rev 5663 and same result with the game. I am running 3.2U with HBC 1.01 with BOOTMII installed in IOS not as boot2

So are you saying to update all of my IOS files? I thought of that. I also thought of updating from 3.2 to 3.4 as the ISO58 that I downloaded had 3.4 listed as the version and I have 3.2. Not even sure if you can update from 3.2 to 3.4? Could not find any posts on that. Is that possible? However I did read plenty on updating to 4.1. Is that a consideration as well. Willl upgrading to 3.4 or 4.1 also update all of my ISO's? Is that better or worse? Thanks for responding so quicky.

Not all, use the "Update Game IOS" pack. There really is no need to update the system menu. I'm no expert in updating menus but I BELIEVE you install IOS 60 patched and then the 4.1 system menu. DO NOT DO THIS as I am not sure!

You could always follow the Softmod ANY wii guide. There is a link in my sig. It will give you the best and latest (and confirmed) working versions of everything.

Once you extract the archive, DO NOT move any of the folders before verifying. If you do, you will get errors because they are not in their original location.
