I can't find any information about what I'm trying to do...
Is it possible to connect the Wii to the internet Via the Iphone?
I have an Iphone 4 (not jail broken) My brother is a developer and he got me a program that will tether my Iphone to my laptop, so I can use my Iphone as a modem on my laptop with out paying the crazy AT&T tethering plan.
The way I connect to it is:
I create an AdHoc on the laptop and connect both the laptop and the Iphone to that wireless connection.
I open the Tether program It gives me an IP address and a port number.
I then open FireFox on the laptop and create a SOCKS Proxy with that IP and port. I also have to enable the (Socks Proxy? ) ... now I can browse the internet via Firefox
I've been trying everything I can think of to get the Wii to use this internet connection, but everything I find on line is kind of backwards. In order for it to work, the way I'm setting it up now, I would have to be able to create an AdHoc on my Wii (and that's not possible?)
So, does anyone have any idea how I can get this to work?
