Why Do My Backups Stop Playing After I Clone My Harddrive Using WBFS Manager???

Two times I have cloned my harddrive with another harddrive. After I do it each time, probably 25% of my games stop working. For example, Call of Duty: Black Ops, DK Country Returns, Epic Mickey, Madden 2010, etc.. all stopped working. After I re-install them, they work fine. Well now I am away from my brother who has the discs so I cannot re-install them.

The first time I did not notice right away, I cloned to move onto a bigger harddrive. The next time I cloned my for my brother. These same games did not work on either HDD and some additional games did not work on his.

Has this happened to any of you before? What can I do. A red x showed up next to these games in WBFS manager after I cloned. What is the problem?

    Thanks!

Think that was a bug in that old program. Try Wii Backup Manager out, and consider formatting FAT32 for when you get your discs back to get rid of these problems altogether.

While my post really has nothing to do with your questions, I'd like to remind you "borrowing" your brother's discs to install the games on your own Wii sounds an awful lot like piracy... unless perhaps I'm attributing your statements wrong.

If I format in FAT32 will I lose all my games? If not, how do I salvage them? I know I can extract the ISO's onto a different harddrive, is there an easier way? Could I transfer from a WBFS to FAT32 using Wii Backup Manager?

See why'd you have to go and edit in that you're trying to clone games illegally? I gave you a pass and assumed you and your brother were passing the originals around as family members sometimes do, and maybe you were just upgrading hard drives or something.

Now I gotta be a jerk, tell you we don't support piracy, close the thread, and link you here: Wiihacks - Nintendo Wii Hacks Community - Forum Rules

And tell you not to make another thread on this, as it will be shut down as well now.

Yep. I never get why people feel compelled to tell us these things. I hereby invoke the TMI proclamation lol.

Check out my editing on previous post --- I suspect this sums it up quite nicely.

That about sums it up lol. Now this thread has a golden example of editing WIN and editing FAIL.
