I just did a test on the HDD, copied a game that I own 'GT Pro Series' and it played fine.
Booted and raced. (Booted on 249)
Went back to Rapstar and got to LOADING... and it stayed there!! (Booted on 223)

    Talking

i gave up with the HDD
As rapstar was booting from DVD i got the latest NeoGamma, and tried it again, It works! (wife and kids will be happy tonight!)

When i get some time & £££'s i will invest on a decent HDD and try again.

    Thanks all for your help!

    From the music game guide:
cIOS Used to Load - From Backup Loaders

Def Jam Rapstar - Use IOS 224 v5.1 (Base 57)

    --- OR cIOSx Rev 20 (Base 57) --- IOS250

Glad to see you got it working. If you load it with 224 in wiiflow it should work.
