With the new version you should delete the config file of the old one. (i just renamed mine in case I wanted to switch back) If you have a full channel install you need to use wad manager to uninstall it you need the original wad to do so. Install the new one with wad manager as well. If it's a forwarder channel, all you really need to do is delete the current boot.dol and replace it with the new one. Richardisto has a gx guide that should get you through it. I don't know if he updated the links yet. You can get them from the gx google code page.

    The exactly same problem here..

Hi kornando, did you get it to work?
I also did the online update couple of weeks ago and result was the same. First black screen after update and then straight to system menu when trying to start the loader from channel. However i can launch the loader using Hbc but I'd like to launch it straight from channel. Forwarder does the same, goes straight to system menu. I removed the channel with wad manager, deleted all usbloader files, including config folder, did fresh install to Usb Loader GX 2.0 (both .wad and .dol), updated my cios with ciosx rev 21 and CIOS 202/222/223/224 hermes v.5.1 and I still the same problem. Starting up with Channel and Forwarder it straight to system menu.

Well, you didn't use the search button

There tons of threads about this. The solution for most is you need ios58.

Follow the guide below about usb loader gx and install the proper cIOS slots

Us Same Issue Here... but now something new.

I searched this topic and could only find this thread. Without an obvious answer, I gave up and deleted usbloadergx and reinstalled it exactly as I had done last year. It is now working again, but it won't read my image files from the hard drive.

I guess my question is - How can I get usb loader to look at my hard drive rather than only the SD card slot??

It obviosly can see the drive (as all games will play) but not the fat32 partition containing the image files.

wad manager found it because usbloader was installed from that same fat32 partition.

You need to go into settings and change the paths.

ive tried setting custom paths but only option is sd:/ not usb.
is there a way to type it in direcly rather than rely on given paths?
    With Gamecube controller perhaps?
