You have been blessed with boot2!

That's not true. Your version of boot2 doesn't affect whether or not you can install bootmii as boot2. Also, cboot2 (custom boot) is not the same as bootmii. It can run on both versions of bootmii too.
On a side note, everyone with HBC 1.07+ has Bootmii as IOS, since it is now a requirement.

I've correct my post. I was really not sure of things about Bootmii. Thanks for the explanations.

Don't worry, it's a very common mistake. Take a look here for better explanation on what boot2 versions.

Wanted to thank you both for your help.

Followed multiple guides to update all of my IOS's then re-apply updated softmods and USB loaders. Installed priiloader and got all my apps up to date.

i have an old 3.2 system and cant play new games, its both hard and soft modded, i get black screen on disc channel and 002 error on old 1.7 geeko and gamma, im going to be updating those 2 later tonight, as for the ios's are you saying that i can just get, lets say a 4.2 tutorial and load the ios's from that with a wad manager or will i have to do ther things as well?

also viper, can you please direct me towards the updating ios's tut's you've followed?

    thanks!

Edit: ok i dont have access to my wii atm, so i cant post the sysconfig, but as far as i remember i had a hardmodded wii, with twilight softmod, hbc, cioscorps v3 gamma 0.7 geeko os 1.7, priiloader...and its running 3.2...
i was planning on following mauifrog's softmod guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

would i have to follow the entire guide? or could i just start at chapter 2 'installing all the cios wads and then update to 4.1"

    suggestions?

Sorry to Hijack this thread but also need some advice on updating my Wii. Have read all of this and about Dop-Mii, Softmodding etc.

As mine is already softmodded is the best way to go with Dop-Mii and select the IOS`s i need to update or another way without bricking it. Have my NAND Backup, BootMii and Priloader already installed and running fine.

Currently running WiiFlow on Ios 249 Rev 20. No problems running any games from USB HDD but want to upgrade my IOS incase i get a newwer game that wont work with a new peripheral or anything.

Any Advice on my cuurent setup and IOS status would be greatly recieved by anyone on here.

You have some outdated and missing IOS's. Don't try to update them yourself. Follow the Update All Your IOS's guide in my signature.
I have no idea what IOS231 is supposed to be. It isn't an official one, I can tell you that. You have an odd setup. If you want to update all your softmods, follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide in my signature. If you follow it, just make sure you do it before using my IOS guide.
