    Need Wii modding help

    Hey guys
So I just installed BootMii and the Homewbrew channel.
I'm running 4.1U right now, and I kind of want to restore my wii to factory settings and have nothing to do with homebrews and bootmii and stuff.

How will I go about restoring my wii to factory settings? I read on the guides that you shouldn't format the wii or the wii will brick.
    Please help thank you.

P.S. Instead of fully restoring the wii, is it actually possible to just delete everything homebrew/hack related? So basically make the wii back to how it was before I started to hack it?

    Bottom Line:
1- How do I remove everything hacking/homebrew related and restore the wii back to my original 4.1U.

2- How do I remove everything hacking/homebrew related and make my wii normal like it was a week ago.

3- How do i prevent the wii from booting into BootMii once I turn it on. It's annoying.

    Thanks so much.

You know what's not possible? That so many people don't read the rules.

To answer your question, yes there is a way, but it's a risky process, and you have no possibility of recovering if you brick during this process. You should keep it this way, and've thought about this before softmodding. If you just have to, there's a ''virginizing'' guide somewhere on the forum. Hide 'n' seek.

So I just installed BootMii and the Homewbrew channel.
If that is all you have done, you can relax. That is not a fully modded wii. You could easily delete the homebrew channel and bootmii is not going to do anything to brick your wii. Take out the sd card or rename the bootmii folder that is on it.

Thank you so much for the relieving words, but could you expand on it a little bit please?
I got past installing Homebrew Channel and installing BootMii. I'm up to the point where I also backed up the NAND and people say that's very important...
How would I go about deleting the Homebrew Channel, and COMPLETELY uninstalling BootMii, and the NAND backup.
I don't understand what taking out the SD card or renaming the BootMii folder would do.
    Thanks

The nand backup is just a file on your sd card. It is important if you are going to continue to mod your wii. To remove bootmii and hbc all you need to do is run the hackmii installer that you used to put them on there in the first place. It will give you the option to uninstall them both. removing sd card or renaming bootmii folder will stop bootmii from starting when you turn your wii on.

Sometimes, Skell... You're a real catcher every now and then.
    I completely overlooked these details.

I see. So once I use HackMii to uninstall HBC and BootMii, I then remove the SD card, format it to remove everything and I'm all done??? Nothing is left on the Wii that is mod-related?
If that's the case, it's really surprising because the process seemed very complicated and seemed like it was actually doing something to the wii rather than just the SD card.
    It's really that simple?
