    which guide would be bettter

hello everyone i have a updated 4.2U will, i want to soft mod it and have been reading the last couple of days but dont really know if it matters if i used the softmod any wii or the one for just 4.2 ?
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html

could someone please let me know if there is an advantage to using one over the other of these guides

also i was thinking of getting a wii off ebay that say has a disc error to practice with and just using a hdd via usb to load my stuff as a practice wii, any thoughts on that or will the wii from ebay just be more trouble than its worth ? thank you very much for the advice i appreciate it. if i broke a rule please let me know and i apologize

Agree with peire. The Softmod ANY Wii guide is the most up-to-date, but see which one is the most understandable for you.

That's the wrong thing to ask me. I'm interested in about everything technology, so it'd be worth my time and money. I'm a person who wants to know everything related to technology, and would buy a second-hand N64, just to play around with stuff inside, and find out how to mess things up --- not like a little child, but more in a ''professional'' way. Unless you're not interested in such things, no, it isn't worth the money.
