New to Wiis. Have a few questions about Soft-modding.

I'm new to the Wiis. I'm looking at getting a 2nd hand one in the next few days. I can get one for $150 AUD which seems pretty decent. I mainly want to play Zelda: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and possibly the Mario games. I'm going to want to soft-mod it so I have a few questions:

I was looking at the 4.3 soft-mod guide. It says I'll need either indiana jones, smash bros or yu-gi-oh to do the mod, but I see that if the wii is any version lower that I won't need any of those games. If I get a second hand one, is it likely to have already been updated to 4.3?

I'm going to buy an SD card today. Is that basically all I'll need to buy? The nearest town is a fair bit away, so I kinda want to make sure I get everything I need while I'm there.

If I have any problems as I'm modding it I'll post in the guide's thread.

    cheers.

You never know what SM it will have, especially being used. My brothe just picked one up the other day from gamestop and it was on 3.something. If you are going to buy an ad card I recommend that you buy a 2gb sandisk. It is the most reliable for wii modding. With the store being so far away I wouldn't gamble on anything else. Good luck and happy modding!

Yeah, I'm kinda hoping it ends up being an easy one to mod. My real concern is that it will be moddable. I'm right in my understanding that it doesn't really matter version I end up with, that it will be able to be soft-modded?

OKay, I'll make sure to get a Sandisk SD card then.

    cheers.
