4.3e prilloader installed, but disc chanel asks for system update?

Hi ive got a really old wii with 3.2e/ starfall / neogamma 7 cios 13 and everything i throw at it works 100%.

Anyway my neighbour asked me to softmod his 4.3e red wii.
    i followed steps on wiihacks.
    but didnt downgrade to 4.1.
i installed prilloader and was told that i may get an error (which i did)
priiloader loads when i hold reset and power.
i have disc updates enabled and online updates enabled in system hacks.
donkey kong country disc asks for system update, whereas it loads fine from usb loader?

Is preloader not compatible with 4.3xxx

sorry if im being a noob as i havnt touched a wii for over a year

Good choice in not downgrading to 4.1, it serves no purpose for that wii. Are you sure you clicked the save button when you enabled hacks? Were they hacks for 4.3?

Im not too sure if the hacks where for 4.3? i used the files from http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

Ive never used priiloader, as ive starfall, i assumed that prilloader worked on whatever system menu was installed?

sorry but how do i find out if the hacks are for 4.3. thanks

i assume, i should be using priiloader version 0.6, instead of version 0.4?

I dont think they would have even showed up if they weren't the correct ones, but it wouldn't hurt to try again.

    Priiloader 0.6 Released

you could try that guide too. Disabling the internet will prevent any online accidents, but won't stop an update from DK disc. If it's a big worry you could always use startpatch/starfall in the meantime. Keep in mind that they do not play well with priiloader though. You will need to be sure to disable the startpatch/starfall hacks befor trying to get priiloader hacks set up.

I will give that a go but one last question, why is the disc channel asking for an update? when the system is on 4.3e, also the orig disc loads via the disc backuplauncher channel and usb loader without applying any updates? im probably best to move the disc channel as far right as possible/ out of sight out of mind LOL.

Who knows what Nintendo has done lately, they may have a new version of 4.3 out to block us from doing what we do! Just put the discs away and stick to usb loading. Who wants to get up and change stupid discs anyhow?
