you will definatly need one of the recommended games . also the hackmii file for that game . extract just the contents to the sd card not the whole thing just whats in the hackmii file . i used lego batman so i compleated the first level . went to the system menu . then to the save game files deleted the save i made from the game and copyed the file from the sd card make sure its your region. go back to game then press load game and find the file you copyed from the sd card will be 100% compleated . follow the instructions to where i says i.e on batman it was to the elivator to the right then the room at the end . look for the hackmii file prob be a black thing . it will give you a warning screen press as the guide says . install the homebrew channel and then bootmii prob be as ios on new wiis . make sure you do a nand back up before continueing

Find the 4.3 softmod guide, it will give you all the instructions needed, and as mentioned above you will need one of the games. Please have further questions in the guide you are following.
    Good luck

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

I am actually starting to learn this stuff. Thanks to you and others who take the time.

will also need an SD card for the game save. 1 or 2 GB in size. Just go get one for 10 dollars that says Nintendo on it.

Vinatec, I think there once was a "Softmod 4.3" thread. I could have swore to this a few days back but now everyone's links go to the "Modify Any Wii" thread and I can not find a thread entitled "4.3 Softmod". I should ask Maui if this is intentional.

The problem is that some of the things in the Modify any Wii do not apply to 4.3 systems.... I think. I will study more and then ask there if still confused. Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread and thank you once again.

It's Softmod ANY Wii, and it looks like mauifrog has just gotten rid of the old 4.3 guide. He has updated Softmod ANY Wii, and it applies to 4.3 Wii's. It actually always has (that's why it says ANY), but it's just been tailored to fit everything better.

Just finished installing HBC & BootMii onto my black wii (4.3u), Completed the guide and everything went well (so far so good). Thanks guys will try to check my original games if they are still working lol. More power and keep sharing (Need to learn more about modding my Wii ).

Oh one question though, I managed to backup my NAND but for some reason I can't copy it to my laptop, It keeps saying that my bootmii is corrupted or something. Any advice?

The NAND back-up should have two files, nand.bin and keys.bin. If you cannot copy them, I suggest you format your sd card and do the back-up again. If you need the bootmii files, you can place the hackmii installer in the apps folder and lauch it using the HBC. Then, go to bootmii and press prepare a SD card.
Awesome sig picture does not work

I positive that those .bins are there on the SD card, I selected the 3 files to be copied but to no luck. Well, might as well try the back up again. Thanks Bliepo

I thought as much. I think the problem is probably caused by a filesystem corruption of your SD card. Formatting it should fix that. It could also be that the SD card itself is damaged, but things like that don't happen very often.
