"Reading Disc" error using usb loader gx with seagate HDD

Hello im new here so im hoping i can get some help with my issue here. I am using a Seagate HDD from the compatability list and im working with a softmodded 4.2 wii. i just installed Just Dance 2 and the issue im having is that it will load fine and sometime we can play for a while and sometimes into the first song it will go black and give a "reading disc" error it seems like it may be specific songs that tend to cause this trouble but im not 100% sure about that. Either way eventually it stops working and gives a "reading disc" error and just gets stuck there and the only way out is to turn off the wii and start all over. This has become a pretty big nuisance since we enjoy playing this game a lot. Oh and im am loading this game through usb loader GX off my HDD. Please help me out and let me know if i need to post anymore info that could be prudent in resolving my issue.

    thanks for the help everyone

Sometimes I get that error loading DLC songs from my SD card. I've never had it freeze, though. What version of which cIOS are you using? Do you get this issue with any other games?

Did you follow a guide from this site? Did you do the mod yourself?
If you used another site, ask them what you have.
If you didn't do the mod yourself, ask the person who did it.
You could post a syscheck here and someone might be able to help you.
Search 'syscheck' on this site for a guide on how to do that, if you need.

I'm not a super-pro at these, but the one glaring issue I see is rev14 of cIOS249. They just released rev21. Rev17 is the most widely accepted. I use rev20. Take that how you will. Don't know if it will help your initial problem of the game freezing, but you should definitly upgrade to rev17, at least.

    Hit thanks
Anyway, back to business. Cile has a great guide on installing cIOS with WADmanager. Search Wiihacks for WADmanager1.7. Use that to install the WADs you get from Ciles guide. He(she?) has every one you could ever want or need. I'm gonna leave you to it for a bit. let me know if you have any issues. I'll be up for another hour or 2.
Lucky I'm in a good mood. The mods here frown on 'spoon-feeding'

Lol, sorry for the spoon feeding. Anyway i modded my wii a while ago so i dont remember how to use the tools that i used to mod it in the first place lol, however i was able to locate the mod guide and i used this and the file pack that was offered there to update to revision 17. I then tried the game again and unfortunately no luck still froze.

Hmm...well, like I said, I use rev20. Most don't, though. Are you loading DLC from the SDcard? The only other things I would try, personally, is to re-rip the game to your HDD. Or copy the data from your SDcard to your cpu, reformat the card, and reinstall the files you took off of it. Also, Make sure you are using rev938 for USBloaderGX. It is the newest stable version. That's all I've got. Hopefully it helps you out. Good luck....
