Wii's made after Fall of 2009 won't play backups.

In my Wii's home menu or what ever the dashboard is called there is a channel called "backup disk channel" was looking to try and use that to dump a disk to my USB drive as I understand that the new black wii's have a newer drive that does not allow play back of backups and all games would need to be run from a SD or the USB drive.

You should use Configurable USB Loader for that.

Thanks for the hint I got in to Configurable USB loader and was able to dump the game to disk

I have found a issue it looks like my Forwarder Channelon the Wii system menu for the "Configurable USB loader" is pointing to the program on my SD card is it possible to Install the "Configurable USB loader" to disk and then update the Forwarder Channel ?
