What should I do next, besides making a title for this thread?

Okay, I know I should have read up on all of it before I moved forward with softmodding my wii, but you live and you learn right?
Let me keep it short and simple:

I softmodded my wii using Smash Stack. I did it with the bare necessities. Just installed the Homebrew Channel with Bootmii as boot2. (Happy I atleast did that right)

I had no knowledge of IOS installation. I tried running my games, and I heard of this IOS business when it would fail via Neogamma.
    Now to the issue:

I installed IOS 36 yesterday with CIOS Installer (The newest one) and now when I try to install anymore IOS's my wiimote turns off (read somewhere that it means i'm close to bricking) Should I find a way to fix the wiimote situation?

    or

Should I reinstall the IOS's with Wad Manager? And if so, it seems that homebrew wont read WAD Manager via USB.

And if I need to start over completely, how do I go about this? I already have homebrew installed, so it doesn't make sense to start out all the way.

    Help! lol. Thanks.

Start by making a post in the intro section of the forum. A mod will reply with lots of links to help you.
It sounds like you followed a softmod guide from an outside source. You should remod with the any wii guide in my sig. That will get you up to date with all of the IOS and cIOS'. You say you already have bootmii and HBC installed, but you didn't mention a nand backup.

No NAND Backup yet. I have to go purchase a larger SD Card before I start out fresh.

So what you're saying is it's okay to redo smash stack? Even though I've already done it?

Sounds like you are installing random things. You need to follow a guide. A good one was referenced to in the above post. Go from Chapter 2 of that guide.
You may have to re-install HB to get the latest version running on your system. You will also have to install ios 58 because this is what the latest HB 0.8 runs off.

You are right. By the time I found some reputable guides... (like the one here) It seemed to be too late. I will be starting from scratch. My one question is if I do have to reinstall HBC then how do I go about doing that? Is there an uninstallation method? Or do I just redo everything by following the guide?

Okay, Thanks everyone. This is much appreciated. Is there anything else I should know before going through with following this guide?
