I used Pimp-My-Wii. "Unable to read disk" error.

I used Pimp-My-Wii (I know now not to use this program.) and now every disk I insert gives me the "Unable to read disk" error in the disk channel.

I followed the ModMii tutorial [link removed] to see if that would fix the issue but it didn't help at all.I searched the forums yesterday, but I am at a loss. I did noticethis thread that looks to be a similar issue to what I am facing, but the answers given seem to be singular to that user. I read the newbie faq and created a sysCheck which I posted below. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to launch backups through the disk channel? Shouldn't IOS36 be patched? Not that not having a patched IOS36 would cause this...Just something I noticed.

Edit: I see you are trying to play backups through the disc channel. It's not going to happen without corping your Wii or chipping it. Are you sure your drive is even capable of playing backups? Although that would have nothing to do with originals.

I run all my games through the disk channel. I don't have or use an external harddrive. Should I install IOS36?

You can't run backups through the disc channel by default. You have to either hardmod your Wii or install the dreaded corp (don't do it!) to do so. IOS36 should at least have the Trucha bug but I don't think that would have anything to do with your problem. Do you have NeoGamma? Try launching your games through there and see if you have the same problem.

I have a wiikey as well. Before I ran Pimp My Wii aoutofix, all my backups and originals were playing just fine through the disk channel.

Then I will respectfully bow out of the thread as I have no clue about hardmods. You should try launching through NeoGamma anyways to see if the problem persist seeing as how you are softmodded too.
