Need some help sorting out my softmodded Wii

Hi Wiihacks. I'm afraid that I followed some fail guides, did some cowboy softmodding here and there and now nothing is working.

On closer inspection I did actually start off on the recommended 4.3 guide found on wiihacks, but ended up being lost in the various cowboy guides out there. I'm not sure what stubs are, but it looks like I have about ten of them.

    Here is my system check:

    sysCheck v2.0 by Double_A
    ...runs on IOS58 (rev 6175).

    Region: PAL
    System Menu 4.3 (v514)
    Hollywood v0x11
    Console ID: (eight digits removed)
    Boot2 v4

    Found 100 titles.
Found 39 IOS on this console. 10 of them are stub.

    IOS4 (rev 65280): Stub
    IOS9 (rev 1034): No Patches
    IOS10 (rev 768): Stub
    IOS11 (rev 256): Stub
    IOS12 (rev 525): No Patches

    IOS30 (rev 2816): Stub
    IOS31 (rev 3607): No Patches
    IOS33 (rev 3607): No Patches
    IOS34 (rev 3607): No Patches

tldr; I softmodded my Wii, got usb loader working, but got lost on the way and now my loaders don't work. I need to know what I should do to get things going again and am getting so stressed out that I have nearly stomped on my Wii a few times and broken out in fits of insane laughter.

    oh wow.
actually i have read everything. for the future, wrap it up a little more.
just say you followed some fail guides, did some cowboy softmodding here and there and now nothing is working.

Recommendation: as you missed to say hello in the introduction section.

    Welcome to wiihacks.com

    Stay at wiihacks.com
use our softmod any wii guide or the 4.3 softmod guide to get up and running again, use its option with the hbc already present. don't worry about the stuff you did to your wii before, just install on top.
Once done at least your games should work off your hdd.
not sure if triiforce is even working off a ntfs drive. maybe you want to switch to fat32 loading anyways, find guides to both ntfs and fat32 loading and verify for those things you want to have running in the end. do some more reading before starting over again..
(also just to have some more insight what is going on you can always consult a syscheck, Instructions here, maybe you installed some stubs during the whole process or updated via a disc or online update, who knows..)
good luck getitng it sorted, we can't really help if your are not properly softmodded the wiihacks style.

Thank you for the reply. I should have made it a bit smaller, and I think I will actually. I did not not about system check, that sounds very ideal and I will give it a run. I should have also mentioned that I was attempting to run Triiforce from a FAT32 partition, with all that text I am amazed that I left it out. I will run system check now and put it in my main post. I wish I found wiihacks from the begining. For some reason I imagined that one of the many "ultimate soft mod guides" would be enough to follow

I haven't played with TriiForce in a long time but I'm pretty sure you are right. The drive or SD had to FAT the last time I used it.

I have done a bit of searching but can't find a specific answer, I know that not all the slots need to be filled with an ios, but do I need to fix all of those stubs and will following the 4.3 guide exactly fill in all of those stubs? I now understand that I can just reinstall things over the top of old ones, which makes everything much less daunting, but I'm unclear on the stubs. Like did I cause all of those stubs? And just what are stubs :S

actually your syscheck doesn't look that bad.
only stubs in slots above 200 would be something to worry.
stubs=useless files, implemented by nintendo can stay in your wii, its only a cosmetic thing to remove them and actually can make things worse if those slots are free and not filled with something.
if you want to make sure everything is correct, follow our guide.
when you want to test out the setup you have, get the app pack from chapter 3, put it to a fresh formatted sd card. and see what happens when running cfg usbloader from hbc.

edit: follow the guide, its the better choice, all systemmenu IOS and IOS36 are unpatched, you are missing some other cIOS, 224 for example. guess you don't have priiloader, get it, if not already done make a NAND backup of your wii

Before I dive into the guide, I should probably ask what step I should start on, or what steps I should skip. I'm guessing Triiforce is not the best option for wii users either based on comments in this thread, so i won't bother with that. Thanks for your help too. If I had of done this a week ago I could have saved myself a lot of stress.

start the guide in the beginning of course i can't recommend skipping any mentioned step. but you are the only one who knows what has been done and what not..
find the option "hbc already present" and use that.
triiforce should work afterwards, as you have/will stay at 249rev17, only thing you can start reading now is the fat32 loading guide linked below and/or find the triiforce thread on this site.

Ok so I have done this missing steps, which was mainly chapter 2, all of those wads. But games *still* wont load through the loader. I seem to have all the needed ios, but they still wont load. The games show up and I have tried loading them with each of the selectable ios. Many of the games get as far as the controller warning screen and one even shows the initial loading bar, but all games crash to black before actually loading. I think I have the ios needed from following the steps, but am I missing something? Also the Apps Pack in wasn't available to download in the guide. It wouldn't download, though I could force it to download but the resulting file was corrupt. Was the Apps Pack an essential step?

would be just easier to have a nice set of loaders of the latest versions etc. try the mirror link
mediafire has issues from to time.
are you even sure you drive is compatible? check the list in the usb loading guides.
if possible go for the fat32 loading route.
