    Softmod problem

I have softmodded a few wii's and all has been good but one of ones I done for a friend no longer loads wiiflow or USB loader gx. USB loader says it can't find ios 249 or 222 so don't know what he's done to it. I have bootmi installed as boot2 and I backed up the NAND before I softmodded it can I just load bootmi and over write the NAND with the original and just start from the beginning again with the softmod.

    Thanks
    Dave

youneed to check what system menu the wii is running he might have updated it, but you can use one of the guides on here and the new soft mod will overwrite the old one,

It is on 4.2 but can't remember what it was on when I softmodded it as it was a while ago. The homebrew channel and wiiflow channel are still there but nothing works.

Is it not like an xbox then where I could just over right the NAND with the original if wanted and it would be pretty much back to a virgin system on the original dash and then start again.

Great thanks, Im great with problems with xbox's as ive been doing them for years but only dabbled with wii's, when you keep reading about bricking if you update or uninstall IOS's I was just getting a bit worried as didnt know if you could re-install an ios over the top of another without causeing issues.

Thanks Again ill give it a go in a bit but from what ive read its pretty hard to brick a wii for good that has had bootmi installed as boot2.

I like to have a nand copy after the mod too, that way I can be real lazy and just restore it to it's already modded state. Just a suggestion.

Good plan, I don't know why I didn't think of that at the time.

    Thanks
