can I empty SD card for Nand backup

Hi there, I am doing a softmod on my 4.1U everything is going smoth so far. I have the Apps, Bootmii,Private, wad on the sandisk 2GB SD card. Can I leave the file on my SD card to do the nand backup? Or do I have to erase the SD card to make some space. Bootmii was install as IOS because of my version and I don't want to brick it. Thanks for your reply.

What does the guide say to do, and why not ask in that thread??????????

There is plenty of room on your card for the back up. If there is not, bootmii will tell you.

What does the guide say to do, and why not ask in that thread??????????
That is a very good question!

You don't need to delete anything. In fact, if you'd delete the BootMii folder, you can't even make the back-up. Still, did the guide tell you to format your SD Card?

I personally think one should not be worried about bricking his or her Wii. Sure, you need to pay attention in every single thing you do, but mauifrog has an excellent post about things you should never do. There's no better brick protection than knowledge and caution.
