    Wiikey1 + Softmod question

I installed the softmod and I have a question. My Wii is also hardmodded with Wiikey 1 and I would like to know whether the inhibition to disk updates included in the softmod works only with games loaded with Neogamma or it is active with games loaded with normal disk channel too .
In conclusion, am I obliged to load every NTSC game (I have a EUR Wii) with Neogamma to be safe about wrong region updates or the inhibition works always and I can let my doughter to play safely every game loading from normal disk channel?

    Thanks

    Simone

NeoGamma and the Disc Channel both use different IOSes. If you get a game to work in NeoGamma, it doesn't mean it will also work through the Disc Channel.

To block disc updates, see THIS.
To update IOSes used through the Disc Channel, see THIS.

By the way, why are all your games NTSC, and not PAL? My guess is that you live somewhere in America, and that you have a PAL Wii?

OP didn't say that, just said that he had to load every ntsc game (that he has) that way to prevent an out of region update. Sounds like Bandi was going fishing

Now that you mention it... Guess I didn't read properly.

OK, I live in Italy and have only a few NTSC games (many PAL). I'd like to know if it could be safe playing them via DiskChannel or it is better and safer using NeoGamma...

If you have installed priiloader and blocked updates, it shouldn't make any difference which way you play them. The safest way is to use an external hd and usb loader
