Yes there's no need to do that.

Download r938 from here. Then follow Krank's guide to formatting to Fat32.

Bear with me...how do I install r938? And can I just use the same GX install I've been using?

    This is a learning process

Download r938.dol, rename it to boot.dol.

In your sd card go to apps-> usbloader_gx and delete the boot.dol that's in there and put the boot.dol you downloaded.

I've heard of a few bricking problems with r938 and GX...should I use Wiiflow? I'm considering removing GX entirely.

Do you have a preference of USB Loader GX vs Wiiflow?

any opinions on GX vs Wiiflow? i heard they abandoned GX, so is it sort of "obsolete" now, so to speak? i'm really digging wiiflow, it can do everything that GX can do, right?
    Thanks for your help!!

I highly doubt USB Loader GX has bricked any Wii. CFG is the loader with the best compatibility.

USB Loader GX has not been abandoned. WiiFlow vs. GX = CFG is the loader with the best compatibility.

Can anyone else vouch for CFG Loader? Sounds like a good option from what I can see.

For FAT32 loading with GX you need a revision beyond r931 (older revisions don't support FAT loading)

This is not true, I use r910 of USBLoader GX and have everything on a fat32 drive. I can't update past r910 because of compatibility issues with my hard drive. I did some research and they actually changed something in r911 related to it.
All of the well known loaders are good though so it's all a preference of what you like.

They don't support FAT loading with cIOSx rev 19 or 20. That's what it means.

So it will work with 222 but that's it.
    Damn I suck!!!!
