    Apps won't recognize flash drive

    I can't think of the correct term, but the Homebrew channel will still recognize my flash drive its a sandisk 2gb and i can load apps off of it, but like USB Loaders won't work. Here everything that has errors; WiiMC version 1.05 and 1.09 both wont load with the flash drive in, it will just black screen after it loads from the sd card; WiiMC version 1.10 wont say there is a flash drive plugged in; Configurable USB Loader can't mount it; USB Loader GX goes white with a gray bottem and music plays but nothing loads. I tried formating and both slots, but here is a syscheck am i missing anything?

    Well that's your problem I think, your apps are loading off your SD Card, try removing your SD Card, and make sure your FlashDrive is formatted with Fat32

    I read that the Wii doesnt like Flash Drives unless they aren't treated as removable media on PCs, I also read that they could be treated as a drive by removing a certain thing, but if i find this info i'll link it

    Could it be that im missing IOS 61? before i actually followed mauifrogs guide, since i added homebrew from a wiibrew guide that all it did was install HBC, but after i reinstalled homebrew channel with IOS 58 WiiMC would just black screen when i booted it. Also, i use a modded version of wii64 and it can load ROMS off of my flash drive no problem, heres the link Wii64 and GenPlusGX & co. USB2.0/3rd Party Controller Mods - GBAtemp.net

    Edit: i found this a few minutes ago, in Gen3SF guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...tmod-only.html it says this;
    USB Flash drives can not be routinely partitioned as they are not seen as fixed media by the PC OS. To make the PC see the USB device as a local or fixed drive rather than as removable storage, a data bit needs to be changed or flipped. There is a Lexar utility that can flip the Removeable Media Bit setting of Lexar and some other brands of USB flash drives. Download BootIt from HERE. Under Options, Click the Flip Removeable Bit button. If successful, now the USB Flash Drive will be seen as a fixed drive and can be partitioned and formatted.

    If BootIt is not successful, a more powerful multifunctional utility is RMPrepUSB. Download RMPrepUSB from HERE. Note that the site has basic information, a FAQ, and tutorials. For Wii use, one needs only to partition and format.

    As only a few games will fit on a USB Flash Drive, a list of final game sizes HERE, maintained by Krank, may be helpful.
    is that what you were talking about?
