    use of Computer Monitor

I have a spare flat screen computer monitor that I have attempted to connect to my Wii and on the screen comes up Not optimum mode recommended mode 1680 x 1050 60hz.

Can anyone please advice me what i should do. Thanks

That's probably a Samsung screen, am I right?

It will not work, as the Wii operates in a resolution of 720x576i (PAL/50Hz), 640x480i (NTSC/60Hz) or 640x480p (HDTV --- well, not really HD, but progressive). In widescreen these are different, but the exact resolution of the Wii in widescreen doesn't exist; it's different in each game.

Maybe you can adjust the scaling on your monitor?
