    Newbie questions

Ok I'm extremely new to wii hacks. I've never done anything other than play games in it. What I'm trying to do is figure out if I can use it as a network media player on my home network, load games and play them from a external hard drive, and if it is possible to have the wii play DVDs?

If any of these are possible please let me know which and what I need to look for to do it.

What I mean as a network media player is I want to rip all my DVDs to a HDD on my network and I want my son to be able to watch them on his tv in his room from the network in his wii. This is so I dint have to buy an actual network media player.

I have once heard of something called ''SMB Share'', but I don't know anything about that. I don't believe it's for sharing movies over a local network.

As far as USB loading and watching movies on your Wii goes: Introduce Yourself

The same way you made a thread in this section.

I'm on my iPhone app and it won't let me type in the block for the intro forum. Any help with that other than logging in on a PC?

Perhaps the latter might be a better idea for now.

See how the box is grayed out. It won't let me type in it. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated in the mean time.

Do yourself a favor and STOP RIGHT NOW. Posting a bunch of successive posts (there is an "Edit" button) isn't gonna win you any friends and is against Wiihacks - Nintendo Wii Hacks Community - Forum Rules

No need to get ugly. If my questions were answered instead of changing the subject this post would have never got off topic in the first place. I didn't post a new thread to learn to post from my iPhone I asked other questions. Obviously you don't know the answer so please don't waste the space in my thread with nonsense.
