Problems with Backup Launcher and Out-of-Region Discs

    ok, 4.2U,

So I got a wiikey 1.9s, plus I followed the "How to Mod any Wii" guide. But I did not install any extra apps yet. Just Priiloader and the stuff that came before it. My problem is that PAL games won't launch from the Disc Channel. When they launch from the Back Up Channel they are in black and white and sometimes flipping vertically. Also I can't get a Gamecube multi-disc to work either, it's all the Mario Parties. It loads vis Disc Channel, but when I pick a display mode I get a green screen. When it loads through the Back Up Channel, I get a WiiGator screen that says failed, but then it launches a menu of somesort. Needless to say this Gamecube Multi-Game Disc is PAL.
I set any region for my Wiikey, Priiloader and from that Wiigator menu. So what's wrong?

to use the region free ability of your chip you need to downgrade to 4.1 (4.2/4.3 kill it)
here is a guide for that.

to your current issues with the loader you can check out the FAQ on the softmod basics linked below.
Black and white or green screen indicate wrong setting of your videomode. try: force ntsc.

don't know anything about the GC stuff.

    good luck for now

Ok, I'm having a hard time finding it in the guide, but I'll keep looking.

Also, Priiloader was supposed to bypass the updates, but my Disc Channel is still demnading them. Why?

The Back Up Channel runs them, but it Black Screens Endless Ocean 2. I was hoping that my kids could still launch them from the Disc Channel, I fear they may update by accident though because it still prompts for an update.

I can't access any sort of menu for my Back Up Channel. When I have the SD Card in I am automiatically taken to the DacoTaco BootMii INstaller, but I can't find anything helpful. The card is still set up like it was after Chapter 2 of the How To Mod Any Wii Guide.

    hey,
please avoid bumping your thread within 24 hrs and use the edit button to add information you forgot.

I can't really tell what kind of setup you have right now..

That you are still asked for an update is because some IOS is missing or outdated, priiloader just makes sure if you press the update button right now (if blocking is enabled of course) you get an error message instead of any updating action. (IOS update for hardmods this should help you if you don't want to softmod)

My opinion: Use the softmod any wii guide to completely softmod your wii, install everything from chapter 2 do not just prepare the sd card for it
You should think about installing the upgrade package as well to have all the IOS of the 4.3 update (skip the darkcorp installation) and use the option to downgrade your wii given in the guide. Afterwards you will have everything to either run discs in the discchannel with your chip or use one of the todays used backup/disc launchers, thats either neogamma or uLoader for discloading.
With this setup you can also think about using a nice usb harddrive to have your game collection in one place, you can also boot directly to a usb loader so your kids only have to choose which game they want to play and nothing more, no scratched discs etc etc.

Bumping? What's that, you want me to quit posting crap right after I posted crap? Ok, sorry.

I did install everything from Chapter 2. I was really trying to get PRiiloader, and the guide looked like the best way to do it, and a update my HBC in the process.

My old setup booted me up in Bootmii with the cool gray icons, and the timer would tick and then load up the system menu. The one I just added just boots up to a flipping screen and then loads the DacoTaco loader thing.
