Why are some games HUGE on the screen? Can only see top left 1/4 of screen?

I searched the forum and googled this before asking, but I don't know how to word it or what exactly to search for.

Some games like Hot Wheels Track Attack or Family Ski just to name the last 2 that I had are not formatted properly. The game copies just fine to the external hard drive and seems to load just fine on my 4.2U, USB Loader GX softmodded wii, however even though the game loads and plays, you can only see the top left 1/4 of it's title or the wii warning screen or whatever it shows. I can press home on the remote and just barely see the Wii menu option to get out of the game, restart the Wii and pick somethign else.

Is there a setting I can change to make it fit my screen? Or do I need to update something? If you need more info, please ask. THANKS!

Perhaps you're playing an out of region game on your Wii? Resolutions between NTSC and PAL are different and will result in differing distortions (depending on if you're NTSC playing PAL, or PAL playing NTSC).

I've got 250 games so far and have had this happen to about 20 different games over the last year. I can play NTSC or PAL without any issues at all.

You verify you're forcing to your region on these suspect titles? What do the originals do --- they are originals, right? 250 makes you wealthy, a pirate, or an idiot lol (no offense but you should know what I mean).

Sorry, 250 have been tested, I've only got room for 50 max on my hard drive. And yes, they are originals

I was gonna say there aren't 250 worth owning, lol. You still didn't answer the critical question, though.

Actually after I reviewed my post, I realize there were two critical questions. The outstanding one: what does the original/retail disc do?
