Question I'm trying my best.... but struggling a little..... need some help please.

    Hi guys.....
Well last night I successfully followed DogEggs tutorial:-
    Code:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/16970-new-3-1-4-1-softmod-any-wii.html
I had a 3.4E system now upgraded to 4.1E. Everything went thru without a single hickup.
Now I've tried to play a backup of Doctor Who 'Return to Earth' which I burnt to a phillips DVD-R.
The system menu recognizes it. When I click on start I get a screen saying there was a problem. Eject the DVD and restart.
Is there a special way I need to load the Discs?? Thru Homebrew Channel???
Does his tutorial also install the USB loader?? I don't want to try installing another if I have already done that. Could someone perhaps point me in the right direction for loading games via USB?? But I would rather just play the backup games off DVD.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give guys....
    Much Appreciated.
    Cheers

    Introduce Yourself

Phillips = CMC MAG mediacode, total junk. Verbatim DVD-R (but avoid the "Life" sub-label/series) or Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs are the way to go. Gen3SF has a USB HD tutorial in the Recommended Guides section. Dogeggs tutorial installs Neo Gamma; I hope you used that backup loader to play your backups; the disc channel is for original/retail discs only.

Wow... Thanks for the superfast replies!!
Now I feel like a bit of an idiot........ I did use the normal disc channel.... didn't notice the neogamma channel.
Games are working perfectlynow using the neogamma channel. The phillips dvd-r does work. I also used a ritek G05 DVD-r. Works fine as well.
I noticed in Neogamma that there is a region option. Is this where I can change my pal setting to allow for NTSC games???
I will check out the Gen3SF tut and have a sneak peek at that as well.
    Cheers Guys!
