Wii Remote Lag/ Freezing When Aiming at screen

Ok so I have searched for several days now and I still haven't found a solution to my issue. This is my first post, but I have been using these forums for some time now (it rocks!)

When I am playing a game that involves aiming at the screen (e.g. Wii Play: Target Practice, Big Buck Hunter, COD Black-ops, Mario Galaxy) the game seems to work fine, the cursor keeps up with my motion and I am able to aim and shoot normally. However every 10 to 15 seconds (mostly when I am moving the cursor quickly across the screen) the cursor seems to get stuck somewhere on the screen for maybe half a second to a second, and then it catches back up to where I am pointing. This has become very frustrating while trying to play games with moving targets. There are no other issues with the game play or the responsiveness of the controller. I am not sure if this is the lag that others have referred to, since it only happens once in awhile, not with every movement.

I have tried replacing the batteries, I have tried using another remote, I have tried using a different sensor bar, I have hooked up the wii using component cables. I am out of ideas.

My black wii was hacked using the Smash bros hack, beyond that I don't know much about the version or method (I just followed that guide step by step) I currently use configurable usb loader to play games from a FAT32 formatted hard drive.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The only thing I can think of is try adjusting the settings for Wii remote sensitivity or insure that your sensor bar is not being affected in any way by the edge of your TV, ect.

Does it happen with ANY game, or only certain games, like out of region games, dual layer games, ect.? If it occurs with all games, try putting a single game on a different USB device (especially one from THIS list) and see if it happens, as this would indicate an error with your USB device. If only a certain "archtype" of game, then they might not be loading an accurate cIOS.

LOL don't you love it when it comes down to basic tech support? Sorry you have to deal with using a different USB device, but at least you know what it is now.
