    USB Loader GX vs. CFG

I've looked around this site and it seems that a lot of people prefer CFG over GX. Im running 4.2U with 249rev20. Can someone please explain why CFG seems to work so much better is there using the same cIOS's to load games with. Or what makes CFG different than GX?

This will spawn some interesting debate! I use gx because I like it and my son understands how yo use it. It plays every game I own without any issues. I do have cfg also, I am not a big fan of the gui. It's really just a matter of personal preference in my opinion. GX is not really being developed, so updates and support are not really an option. CFG is seems to be the most often recommended loader although if you look at the polls, gx is used by more people.

I also use CFG Loader, And it's better Then GX.(Atleast Thats How I Feel )
Also CFG Loader plays everything. No Switching To another Usb loader for Certain Games.
Problem Free Cfg Loader, Is What it should be called.

    Kudos.

Game compatibility and ease of use. I tried them all and CFG is the best. I hit the Wii scene just before usb loaders were introduced and started out with Waninkoko's usb loader up until v1.5, then moved on to usb loader GX for about a month. Then I started using CFG because it would load some games that GX wouldn't. I also tried Wiiflow and coverfloader and were not impressed with either of them, and uLoader just don't look right. For me, it's been CFG for the last year and a half, never had a reason to look for another usb loader.

I know that with usb loader, there's ocarina support, so you can use cheats and stuff, but is it there for cfg loader as well?

Over time there have been development lags for all the common USB loaders. Right now, I would suggest you go with CFG if you like the look. The USB Loader GX project team almost abandoned the project and so that loader is under updating and improving now. CFG is currently the better choice due to the interrupted development of USB Loader GX. The compatibility and features of any USB Loader is always a moving target-these teams work without compensation and so at one time USB Loader GX was superior to CFG and back and forth the development goes.

Bottomline for today: choose CFG over USB Loader GX. Next week may be a different story, use what works for you and what you like to work with in order to select and load a game. Enjoy your Wii.

I use USB Loader GX and never had any problems, it plays all my games fine.

But I suggest you do as Gen3sf said. Use what works for you and what you like to work with
