USB Loader GX Updating from Internet

I have a few questions when updating USB Loader GX via an internet connection:

    1) The latest revision which I saw from Downloads - usbloader-gui - Project Hosting on Google Code was R938. I checked on the credits on USB Loader GX, and I didn't have the latest revision. I tried updating it and it said no updates available.

    2) Is it saying that there are no updates available because I haven't connected to the internet because I have set up a connection but I don't know if USB Loader has detected it or something.

    3) When there is an update to I update all or just the .dol?

I am using the full channel BTW.

You will have to reinstall the channel. If you were using a forwarder all you would have to do is swap out the .dol. You can get the new updated channel from here. My updater did not seem to work online either, maybe because we have full channels instead of forwarders. Not sure if it can change the dol on the nand....just speculating on that.

Note that there should be an update_path option at the loader's settings to give the directory you want to use for the update,
in case you don't use the default one :/apps/usbloader_gx/, and a setting to be able to update to the latest beta revision
That is from the gx website. I assume that it is not capable of writing to the nand.

Like I said.....that's my assumption. It's pretty easy to install the new channel though. Just download the wad, put in in your wad folder, and install with wad manager or mmm

I think you need the latest version, which is 938.

edit: I just switched to fat32 and gx938 seems to work fine. I have cfg too, it makes me select the fat partition after it starts up but it works also. Probably an update to address the cfg, I just started messing with it.
