Just some General noob questions, and a noob in need of tips ;)

    Heello there!

I've just got my wii softmodded (4.2) and i have a HDD on 1 TB. I've formated it to wfbs and tested some games. In my wii I have homebrew channel with bootmii and a game running program.

I want to get some gamecube games also, but they won't work in wfbs format, and i don't know how to get them to work with my HDD. also do i have to have a gc card to save my savefiles on ?

hope someone can help me !

You can only run gamecube games from discs not usb. Although there is something out for GC with usb. Apparantly it is still very buggy because it in early stages of development. Look HERE

There is only one way to play GC games on your HDD now without a WODE, DIOS MIOS. The compatibility sucks thus far seeing that it is still a work in progress. You can use the search bar for more info to see if it is something you'll be interested in. And yes...If you want to save GC games you need a GC memory card.

Your Wii essentially is a beefed up GC. It's not going to emulate itself, it just goes into GC mode which in turn kill your USB ports. If you want to play GC games disc loading is the best option at this point unless you want to drop the cash on a WODE.

SysCheck is a handy app to have.
Homebrew Browser - This give you the option to download apps straight to your sd card without taking it out ot the wii - http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...w-browser.html
Ftpii app - This allows you to add stuff to your sd from your pc to wii without taking the sd card out.
Dopmii 12 or latest - Handy but be careful as it a powerful app
MMM - Very powerful tool so be careful again
WiiFlow or CFG for usb loading
