Accidental Update to 4.3... Need Help!

Hi, I'm a little new to wii homebrew, and need a little help. Here is my problem... I hacked my v4.2 wii a while back and have successfully been using gx usb loader to play games. Here's where I ran into a problem though; my brother accidentally updated my wii to v4.3 without knowing the consequences and I'm affraid I have a bricked wii. My question is, what can I do? Obviously the usb loader no longer works, but I'm affraid if I try running the homebrew channel that it could mess things up. If the update has run on my wii, does that mean that the homebrew hack no longer exhists on my wii? Is it possible to re-hack my wii again. I know v4.3 has been very difficult to hack, but any help would be great! Thanks!

It's NOT bricked. A bricked Wii is a Wii-system that can't operate anymore because of software corruption, or perhaps software missing.

Follow the softmod guide in my signature and you should get your Wii up and running again.

Thanks Bandicoot! Is there a lot of risk involved in downgrading? or is it about as safe as any other wii hacking?

I told you to follow the softmod guide, not the downgrade guide.
And yes, there are high risks involved in downgrading, especially for people who have trouble reading a guide.

The only healthy reason why one would downgrade is because he/she wants to play out-of-region games with his/her modchip again after updating to firmware 4.2 or 4.3.

    Yes; no modchip, no downgrade.

Be sure to do the PRIILOADER part! Every day there is an "accidental update" post, they all can be prevented with priiloader.

I assume that most people follow a guide from the first step, up to the last step. But yeah, you're never sure with some newbies; some of 'em always seem to surprise me with the most stupid brick situations.
