    newbe 4 questions

Hello. I do read and search, so I'm just not being lazy. Just too much to read!

I have prepared sd card with nand on it. Can I copy these 2 large files somewhere else as to keep the sd card space available? (i have 2 other pc hd's i could keep this on)

Somewhere along the line, I failed to put apps on the sd card. It only shows the homebrew banner, without anything else. I have found elsewhere, a package already loaded and ready to go, on my sd card. Can I just installed this new stuff (wad) on sd, or do I have to go in and remove anything 1st. My rev is 4.2. From what I have read, nothing is put into any memory of the wii anyway, so I should be safe, but will await response on this.

Do I need connect24 for anything? Is it necessary? I know not to update wii firmware. Just unsure of the connect24. Does it coincide with homebrew updates?

Lastly, my drive is too new to play burned disks, so I'll be getting a 2TB ext usb HD. Now, I understand usb 3 is starting. Should I get a usb 3, or is usb 2 fast enough? I don't know if this really matters. Do you?
    Thx for any help

What guide did you follow on wiihacks.com?
Yes, you can move the files to your PC.
Apps in DOL-format you can put on your SD card under the apps folder (sd:\apps\yourprog1\boot.dol)
And your WAD-files you will need a WAD Manager to install with. apps i WAD format will be installed to Wii memory
    No, you don't need Connect24.
    HomeBrew don't use Connect24

    Wii can't handle USB3, only USB 1.1 and 2.

hello riger...in the tut section, it reads "hack any wii" or something like that. It is here...
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html
The file i downloaded, as recommended, was this...MMM-58-61_Hackmii_0.8_BB2
To the best of my knowledge, I did just what it stated. It had to use IOS. I do have the nand file. Do I need to keep the nand on sd, or can i just have it kept somewhere safe?
Thx for replying. I'm gonna order the HD. Found a fantom at tg for 109
