Help with 4.3e restored 4.2e nand

Hi My kid updated the wii from 4.2e to 4.3e I had a nand backup and restored this, wii now states V4.2e. Homebrew channel is back on the wii, however the backup games dont play. On 4.2e games played from the games channel. Do I need to rerun the softmod for the 4.2 version? Can I leave it and run the backups from a USB? how do i get the usb to work? I am pretty new to this and have searched high and low but cant find an answer to where to go after restoring the nand to 4.2e. I did the original softmod. Cheers

I'm guessing you have bootmii as boot2?Your nand was probably backed up before the rest of the mods. Follow the softmod any wii guide in my signature. Don't forget the priiloader part, it will prevent this from happening again. I would make a nand copy after the mods too, that way you can easily restore it back to a fully modded state if needed in the future.
