USB Loader help (4.2u) i am new also.

    Hello,

I'm in need of some help and hoping to get a response. I am fairly new to this. Okay, So i installed the HBC. Everything works fine, I can load games and play them. What i wanna do is get USB Loader Channel on my Wii, the problem is, When i go to install it it tells me "Select which IOS" it gives me 'IOS249'. When i press A it freezes and the controller turns off. I know i am doing something wrong but i can't figure it out. I tried to change the IOS to 250 and it froze. Is there a specific IOS i have to choose for 4.2u?

What guide did you follow? Sounds like either no cIOS or something's up. Do a SysCheck as described here and post in a reply. Also, as a first-time user we ask you make a quick "hello" post in the Introductions section of the site.

I am guessing "No patches" means i have a lot to do. I also followed some Youtube guides, thats how i got HBC.

All you have done to your wii, as far as softmodding goes, is install the homebrew channel. You have no cios, it's a simple fix though. You tube vids are usually bad idea. Follow the softmod any wii guide in my sig, you can skip the homebrew installation.

Follow either Shadow Sonic's 4.2 guide or mauifrog's ANY Wii guide. You must resoftmod. Install Priiloader as well.

If your shop channel is current you can update all of the other channels through it. If it's not it will ask you to update when you click on it, don't do that! Do THIS instead. Other than that, you should be good to go. Congrats.
