    My syscheck, need some serious advice.

    I used messies guide to softmodding my wii. Afterwards I went through a lot of trial and error to figure out how to update the ios and such, I recently completed the whole process and after ripping a few games and successfully running them I found it to be complete.

    I ran a syscheck and a few things are bothering me on the list, I dont know too much about how to read it but I heard what to look out for. I am having a loading (black screen) issue with one game though (dokapon kingdom) but I figure it might be unrelated.

    I need some expert advice on where to go from here with this syscheck.

    The only things I can think of would be...
    1) Install IOS58 (link below) and then reinstall HBC to enable USB 2.0 support for homebrew apps.
    2) I compared it to my most recent syscheck and the only thing that stood out was you IOS56 is a little outdated and could stand to be updated. Install THIS with wadmanager or MMM.

    Mauifrogs softmod any wii guide seems to be the most current guide, if what summersyn recommended doesn't solve your problem try running that guide. It's pretty simple and quick.

    will do summersyn. Also skellinator, is it recommended to run a guide over a guide? As in would it be okay to do that guide from scratch without doing anything odd like virginize my wii (heard to never do that)

    yep, just install the new guide over the other. You DON"T want to do the re-virginize. Summersyn's advive is always good, will probably be all you need.

    ran syscheck froze, ran DOP-Mii froze on IOS249

    system menu 4.1u
    i been wanting to update my HBC, from 1.0.5 to 1.0.8, also plan installing ios58 (i use usbloader gx), well every time i run boot.dol from the sd it freezes and doesn't let me continue, so i tried to run syscheck and froze, and then tried DOP-Mii to do a syscheck and froze on IOS249 V19; FakeSign enabled, ES-identify disabled, NAND enabled, Flash Disabled.

    I was wondering if i could get some advice on how to do these things, the tutorials i found only got me to this point and now i am wondering what to remove. sorry my IOS only shows 2 ios versions is IOS250 (V65535) * and the one mentioned above

    * same as IOS249.

    You need to start your own thread, not hijack an existing one. Did you stop in here yet? They will give you links and a ton of info that may be helpful. It wouldn't hurt to read this too.
