USB Drive WTF is going on here help !!

First off I got a seagate 140gb hardrive, SATA to USB adapter. Formated the drive to ntfs from my windows computer. Then I installed a game through my wbfs manager. Great its there and everything. The crazy thing is when the drive is plugged into my wii. The screen gets fuzzy and flicks and pulsing. I can use the usb loader to install games so i know it sees the drive but what the heck is going on !! why is my screen all crazy..

If you needto know anything about the wii to help me please do as I can find out whatever it is you need to help !! I really want to get this to work !!

btw the harddrive is powered by its only power supply .

Nice rant, but not very informative to say the least...

Sounds like you already know what the problem is, the hard drive. Try a different one...

I am not sure about that whole usb adapter method either.
Sent from my van, down by the river.

Exactly, makes you wonder if this user troubled himself with our USB HD compatibility thread or not.

No one is/was trying to "rip" you a new one; the links to ours and gbatemp's can be found in Gen3SF's USB HD tutorial found here. If you haven't posted in the Introductions section of the site (something we ask of new users), you should do this --- excellent starter links are given to help you navigate our site.

Well, he did state he ripped the games to HDD thru the loader, so it seems to be OK up to that point, but anyways USB COMPATIBILITY LIST

Ok i figured part of it out, The power supply for the drive wasnt working right.
Now i got a good one in place and the wii starts ok. I copied two games over to the drive.
I go to play one and all I get is a black screen.
What am I doing wrong here. I followed the directions and everything
