Help Me Present An Acceptable Thread Title

Got the game Metroid Other M and was aked to update Wii to be able to play software.
Updated and now the USBLoader doesn't run. I believe that my wii is a modded 4.2.
What can I do to get it working again? I have a friend that did the modd but he is out of town for a couple of weeks, and I would like to try to fix the problem myself. I would need pretty basic step by step if it is not too much trouble. can anyone help me?

    Wasn't sure about that either

@ogradydog- Check your system menu version at the wii settings screen, then follow the guide that matches your sys menu version.

    NEVER UPDATE THROUGH NINTENDO!

Games do not depend on the system menu you have, regardless of what Nintendo tells you. All you needed was an updated IOS56, and Priiloader to block updates. If you updated from M:OM, then you now have an (almost) unmodded 4.3 Wii. Follow mauifrog's guide to rehack your Wii. You need to start from the beginning because you updated.

so by starting from the beginning, do I need to remove anything that is on the wii from the last modd?
    Ex. Homebrew, USBLoader, etc...
And yes, it says Ver. 4.3U

Nope. You never have to remove anything to update it when installing homebrew.

Check out the "Other Desperate Options" section of the 4.3 softmod guide. That might be the easiest way to get the Homebrew channel back to redo your softmod.

Edit: I intended to put the "Forwarder Channel" section in the above sentences. >.<
