Most effecient way to load VC and Wii games from USB HD?

I appologize ahead of time if I missed something on the forums.

Here is what I have done so far,

    1. I have used a guide to softmod my 4.2 system to use usbloader gx to run my wii backups. I have tested it by ripping my zelda tp game to my HD and then running it. It ran fine.

    2. I have attempted to use triiforce mrc to run my VC games, I got it all done and set up but once I ran the game it gave me a rolling screen, the game would be playing but it would roll up the screen over and over. So I tried Uloader to run my VC games, I updated my 222 223 and 224 to V5 to get past one of teh errors and after i loaded the game it gave me a black screen.

I wish to use a single External HD (with SD card if nessisary) to run my wii backups and VC games from one channel (2 if nessisary).

I find it really odd that it only took me 10 minutes to soft mod my wii for wii backups and work right but 4 hours to try and debugg my VC games and still no go.

Any info on the most effecient way to run VC games and Wii backups from external HD would be great, links are fine too if I missed something as well.

If any other info is needed please just ask. Thanks ahead of time.

If you are using the WBFS format for USB game loading, then you will not be able to run both without multiple partitions. If you use the fat32 guide linked in my signature, you can use both and have the ease of drag and drop editing of your USB drive.

Edit: To be fair, you DID miss some links by not posting in the Introdction Section. Doing so will give you good links to use.

all the games give me a black screen yes, also I did us 224[57]v5.1 as well, before so I was getting some random error but afterwards just a black screen.

Also thanks to everyone for the nice welcome and not attacking me ^-^ I've had some bad experiences with other forums so I was slightly expecting a short "Rawr" for doing something wrong, Will check out everything recommended and get this all fixed.

    Thanks all.

Sounds like you're playing a PAL game on a NTSC tv set. I think you can force vc/wiiware games to NTSC in Triiforce.

Im in the middle of setting up everything right now actually but you are 100% correct I was trying to play PAL games, didnt know that would cause the issue. One quick question,

I really like the usb loader GX, does that run VC games as well or should (do i have to) I use Triiforce for any VC games.

No, triforce, sneek and uloader can do it, but GX doesn't, and never will as the official team stopped development.

So Technically it would be more effecient to use uloader to run your wii backups and VC games as well?

EDIT- oh and I am going with full fat32 just so you know.

If you enjoy that loader, then you may as well. I am just starting to check it out, but the guide is in my signature if you have not read it yet.
