    4K Sector USB Drives

Is there any interest around to updating homebrew to work with drives that have 4k sectors? I have a "Transcend StoreJet Anti Shock Hard Drive TS320GSJ25M with a Samsung HM321HI Drive 320GB - Working with minor problems" which has 4k sectors and a long time ago (a year?) oggzee fixed the Configurable USB Loader to work with large sector drives (which was very nice of him). At the time none of the other loaders worked and nearly all the homebrew didn't work either. I really thought that once one person had fixed their app, everyone else would follow suit, but when I tried yesterday, nothing really changed - still no 4k sector drive support. Like, homebrew explorer, for example, which means I have to unplug the drive to run homebrew explorer. Anyone know of any apps / tools that have been fixed (apart from Configurable USB Loader)?

Why not just reformat and change the size of the sectors?

Er, I'm refering to disk sectors (as presented by the disk controller), not OS allocation units. (Lower level.) The bottom line is that 512byte sectors are on their way out and are being replaced by 4k sectors because LBA can create much larger drives with 4k sectors. However, much of the early wii hacks code is based on an assumed 512byte sectors size. It was his that oggzee changed. IIRC it was about 4 lines of extra code!
