Just Want to Copy my Wii Games- Best Software to Use?

What is the best software to use to backup my Wii games? Do I need to do anything special to my Wii when I copy a game on a DVD or does it natively read DVD-Rs?

You might want to have a look at the recommended guides section and do some reading. Your questions are that of someone who has not done any research.

why donīt you go say hello in the introduction thread?
to make backups of your games you need to rip them from your wii too a HDD through a usb loader, that will generate an iso that can be burnt into a dvd with imgburn.

Not unless you have one of like 4 or 5 specific model LG drives. You might want to listen to oddgriffin because he gave you a great bit of advice.

as darkcide said, you would need one of the special drives that could read a wii game...

And as I understand it, it is a rediculously long involved process.
If you have a wii ( a good guess since you want to backup your games), then all that is needed is a usb device and softmod.

The easiest solution involves the Wii in conjunction with a USB HD. The Wii can "install" or copy the disc image to the HD, and then extract a burnable image via WBFS client on the PC. This is in terms of backup up, as such a disc image won't be read on the PC (unless as stated, certain old/out of production LG drives). It solves the problem.
