Us Red Steel 2 & USB Configurable Loader issue???

Hi, I soft-modded my Wii about a month ago using the 4.3 soft-mod guide from this site. I just bought a western digital elements 500gb hard drive and formatted it as fat32. I have been copying my Wii collection to the hard drive using the USB Configurable Loader and every game has ran flawlessly so far except for Red Steel 2.

After I copied RS2 and downloaded the cover art I was going to test it like I did the rest. It says loading then *poof* it boots back in the Wii main menu.

My girlfriend bought me RS2 new but she didn't buy the "Wii Motion Plus" attachment. I just opened the game today. I copied the game to the HD assuming I'd get an error message stating something about missing the Wii motion plus thingy.

My question is does this game have known issues with the USB Configurable Loader or is it the lack of Wii motion plus attachment thatís giving me issues.

    thanks will check it out

OK, so I went ahead and downloaded the .wad file from the link summersyn provided. I used the wad manager 1.5gui, not 1.7, (1.7 kept crashing) to load the wad (obtained from http://www.wiihacks.com/homebrew/200...d-manager.html). All was successful I think. I went to the home brew Chanel and loaded the wad manger installed the wad and got an all good message (all 3 bars said ok then successful).

So I booted up the Configurable USB Loader tried to load Red Steel 2 and no dice, back at the Wii main menu. So I go back inot the CNFGBLE USB Loader and go to Red Steel Game specific options in the loader, then ios, but IOS53-64-v5663 wad doesn't exsist. I tried booting using ALL the wads under game specific ios (it was annoying but tried all lol) but no dice.

I used the 4.3 softmod guide from this site (http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...mod-guide.html) and downgraded my firmware to 4.1u during the proccess. So far I have copied 9 games to my western digital elements 500gb hd using the cfg usb loader and all work without hiccups except for red steel 2.

I'm an IT tech so I'm not ignorant to this sort of thing (modded my original xbox back in the day with an executer 2 chip and upgrade the hd to a 250gb western digital 750rpm, still works to this day). I think the link provided kinda put me on the right track but its a bit paraphrased and I'm sure I'm overlooking something minor. If someone can help me out further I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and hope to hear from someone soon.

Seeing as you clearly have the game retail just pop in the retail game and let it run the tutor for the Wii Motion Plus accessory. Once you have that completed, make sure the game has made a save file, and it should work on USB. I had to do that with Wii Sports Resort, and then when I got Red Steel 2 I only played it from USB and never had an issue.

    same issue

I have 4.1u and configurable usb loader as well. I haven't installed the wad file yet, but I tried just running the tutorial from the wii sports resort disc. It tells me I need to update my system first. I'm assuming that means a firmware update (which I don't want to do because I'm guessing my usb loader won't work then) but I'm not 100% sure.
