Ok to update homebrew channel by downlaoding frmo within the program?

hi all I soft modded my Wii last year system 4.1e with priiloader and homebrew channel

I've been running usbloader gx with no problems running my backups.

It's been a while since I've done anything with my wii but went into the home-brew channel and it come up with update available notice?

Is it ok to dowload the update?

Silly question I know but just want to check.

    Many thanks

Get IOS 58 from the IOS thread in narse's signature. Extract and install with wad manager.

When I launched Homebrew channel it asked within the program to update do I still have to do all that first?

    Many thanks

Also channels such as opera and bbc-iplayer do you just install them as wads to get them to work?

I'm aware with soft modded wii that just going into the shop and downloading them is a bad idea right?

Sorry to be a pain just refreshing my memory on procedures from a long time ago.

    Many thanks once again

Yes you need to install ios 58 before installing the newer HB as it work off it

And yes you can just install the wads for iplayer and internet channel. The newer shopping channel needs the newer ios 56 which is included in the d/l

you need a folder named wad on your sd card root sd:\\wad Put the wads in here and install with wad manager using any fakesigned ios ie ios 36 236,249 - 249 should be default in wad manager anyway

So when I have ios 58 installed can I then just load homebrew ad then select update within homebrew. would that be ok?

Also if I install new shopping channel can I then just download iplayer and opera or is it still best install manual as a wad?

    Many thanks once again
