Random Backup Error Times.
I am on a softmodded Wii v4.1U attempting to run a backup of a previously purchased (yes, I bought this legitimately) NTSC-U version of Call of Duty: MW: R. The ISO was burned at 3x speed (lowest for my drive) using Alcohol 120% on a Lightscribe enabled Memorex DVD+R. Here's where the problem is:
Almost randomly throughout the game, it quits out and shows an error screen saying "Disc could not be read". I say almost because these errors are at semi predictable times (before the intro, first mission, or certain checkpoint, as well as in the middle of online matches) except it varies a bit on the whole WHEN factor.
What I wanna know is: what is the cause of the problem? Bad iso rip, ISOs (using CIOScorp), or a media issue?
This is my first backup.

ImgBurn is the recommended software to burn the Wii games. Also if you use Verbatim DVD-R you will have better results.

You're right, that's exactly where your problem is. Burn @ 2x or 4x (you should have 4X). Use ImgBurn to burn it. Don't use "JUNK" media like memorex --- use Taiyo Yuden, or Verbatim media (avoid the "Life" subseries, it's crappy CMC-MAG media). Oh, and use DVD-R. You can't simply use a burner to read and write Wii games. Look in this section. Make a quick "hello" post as we ask of first-time users here. Got it? lol, a lot to take in I'm sure.

So three questions: is there a way to bypass this problem on imgburn? and are there any high quality lightscribe discs? I find that using a sharpie just doesn't cut it, as well as gives a higher risk of finger smudging. And lastly, why not 3x speed?
