HELP IM A NEWBIE! HBC AND GENERAL CONFUSIOn

Ok heres my problem I have a soft modded wii its a 4.0u. I have the homebrew channel I decided I wanted to get a usb loader on my wii so I began the process. I was going through a tutorial try some stuff out only to find that its not showing up on my hbc. So I figured it must be because its hbc 1.0.1 so I found this tutorial

    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...0-4-1-wii.html

I thought this would let my hbc update but now it doesn't even show a prompt to update now Im just confused and in desperate need of help. Is there a way to just reinstall the homebrew channel? or some other easy way to correct all this.

Yes, it's late so I will give you the info now but I do ask you to stop by the intro section here and make a post to say hello....

I suggest you follow the Softmod Any Wii guide found in my signature starting with chapter 1.

HBC v1.0.1? That's old school man.
I would suggest starting over from here:

There is no need to uninstall anything beforehand.

Everybody starts somewhere, this doesn't make a user "stupid" (lol at your own choice of words, this is really not the case) but rather and simply, a "newbie." I have edited your thread title in a positive manner. Do follow Krafter's advice and he's quite capable of aiding in a straightening out of your problem(s).
