DARKCORP, inverted homebrew channal, WAT DO?

    PREAMBLE:
I have soft modded my Wii with Mauifrog's "Softmod ANY Wii" guide which worked very well for me

I am trying to make a to make a wii that can run
    normal wii,
    burnt wii,
    normal gamecube,
and burnt gamecube games, all from the Disc Channel
also i want to play wii and GC games from usbloading methods
also i want a homebrew channel right side up :3

    PROBLEM:
    >discoverd that my wii cannot play normal wii games but could play usbloading
    (As stated in Mauifrogs guide)
(Mauifrogs guide said to play discs, i had to install darkcorp to load discs.)
    >i installed DARKCORP v1.0 Lite
    >after it installed successfully i could play normal wii games from the disc channel
    >discovered the Homebrew Channel was Upside-down (LOL WAT)
(the homebrew website tells me that programs like darkcorp modify the isos the HBC uses and that darkcorp should go die in a hole)
    >usbloaded a wii game to test new isos(Sin and Punishment: Star Successor)
    >NORMAL DISC LOADING DOESN'T WORK AGAIN

    QUESTIONS:

    1. Is it possible to do all the things i want to do with the wii?
    (should i do strictly usbloading)

    2. Could my DVD drive be F'ed up?

    3. What are the steps to making this wii "fully" functional as stated above?
(i have a NAND backup to the moment after finishing mauifrogs guide)

    WAT DO??

reinstall HBC. It should turn it right side up.

If you wii is really new you won't be able to play burnt discs no matter what you do.

first. check if you drive is capable of playing any burned dvd. if not you are out of luck for most stuff you want to do. (gc game loading form harddrive is currently not possible, guys are working on that though).
    so #1:
Track down the Wii's serial No. (sticker on the console's back) and find it out.

If you got a DVD drive with one of the newer D3-v2 or D4 chips you won't be able to play any burned dvd (game or movie), only retail Wii and GC games will run on your console (all recently bought Wiis will have one of those chips).
You got one? Go for a softmodding USB loading route.

there is no real benefit from darkcorp in my eyes, and causes often enough problems to avoid it. you can install disc loaders (if your drive can play burned discs) to the systemmenu and run discs from there, not even one click more than with the discchannel. also you got more options to set, when you want to play out of region games or something. (also GC backups through discchannel is not possible i guess, not sure, never saw that..)

    to your Q3:
the softmod any wii guide is already the best option available.

lets see what the drive chip check says.

    <--suggestions helped? press Thanks

    Thanks for your help fellas

    • There is a 50% chance the chipset is GC2R-D2A.
    • And there is also a 50% chance the chipset is GC2-DMS.

So im getting that GC loading is outta the question

Can you load normal/burnt wii games and GC games from a Backup launcher?
if so which one should i use?

You can't load any backups from disk, this is what is meant by burnt.
