Wad Manager on 4.3e

I upgraded to 4.3e because i had to in order to play Metroid Other M. I now have installed homebrew channel via bootmii , but I cant install any wads without getting ERROR=-2011 and if I use ios249 my wii remote stops responding. I have tried with a GC Controller and it didn´t work either... How do i do if I want to install wads on 4.3e?

I followed the guide to Chapter 2 Part 2. I didn´t want to downgrade my wii to 4.1 because i want to be able to play Metroid Other M and newcoming games...

The only thing i want with homebrew is to install wads and play wiiware games and still being able to play games like SSBB and Mario Kart online. Help please :)

the update was completly unnessecary, you can run the game without it. glad you got bootmii as boot2 and could start to mod again.

and you should be able to install stuff again. stick to the softmod guide afterwards to get you up and running again, don't forget to install priiloader (and block disc and online updates..).
you should be set up after that to run any game without major issues, minor can be solved with fine tuning, set the right videomode, load from the correct cIOS (223 for metroid m for example) and setting 002 fix on or not.

edit: i would downgrade, i run everything from 4.1 (games are completly firmwareversion independent and run from your cIOS) 4.2/4.3 have no benefit for the user and don't improve anything on your wii..

But isn´t it a high risk of being bricked when i downgrade? If not i may as well just follow all steps on the softmod guide i linked to in description...

And btw I couldn´t start the game without a pop up window showed up saying i need to upgrade to 4.3... I canceled my internet connection, but still i needed to upgrade if i wanted to play the game.

#1 if you stick to the guide you should be able to downgrade without getting bricked, read closely and do every step mentioned. if you are unclear ask in the guide.

#2 i know the pop up, but you can bypass that. that is why i say you were not in need of the update. you can run every game, retail/backup discs without updating at any point. that is a tipical beginners fault, the idea i can only run a game with the update, that is just not true. anyways, you know now and should avoid any updating action on your wii.

Since you (erroneously) updated and know the guide you must follow, your questions are better-served to be asked in that thread --- creating a separate thread is pointless.
