You need a little more then just the Homebrew Channel. You need to install a cIOS. If you make a post in the intro section here to say hello, I will give you all the info you need.

Enabling the dvd drive to access backup games from a dvd for system menu 4u

Hi, Can you please help me as to how I can use my dvd drive to play dvd movies as well as burnt wii games?

I am on 4.3u with the latest HBC and USB loader installed. I also have he Mplayer which reads from teh SD and USB but not the dvd.

However, my original games can be played by inserting the game dvds.

Thanks in advance for you help,

This is someone elses thread if you have a problem and you have searched for the answer but could not find a solution then start a new thread instead of hi-jacking someone elses....

If your wii is of the new type it will have the new drive chipset which prevents dvd and backup discs from loading the only way to watch movies is to put them on your hdd and play them that way...

    Also stop by here
