Softmodded 4.2e upgraded to 4.3e...

Hi All,

I stupidly did a firmware update to 4.3e when I purchased Mario Galaxy 2 and lost my homebrew channel, etc... That said, I installed Bootmii as Boot2 which I believe hasn't been affected by the update (boot2 that is). Is there a way I can recover or reinstall bootmii (as boot2) so that I can use homebrew on my Wii again?

I cannot use Indiana Pwns or Smash Stack as they are pretty much impossible to find now in the UK. Also, any news on whether there will be a MarioKart Pwns for 4.3e?

I appreciate anyone's help here. I find it difficult to believe there are no other exploits for 4.3e yet - wii modders are supposed to be the best no? :p

Well, you could try this:
1. Place the files for bootmii on the SD card
2. Download the hackmii installer
3. Place bootmini.elf of the hackmii installer on the SD card
4. Use bootmii to launch bootmini.elf
5. The hackmii installer will now launch

The only thing is that I don't have my old bootmii files anymore (someone erased my SD card) so I can't load boomii. It looks like the wii is ignoring everything on the card :(

Ah, you can just download them here: OH SH*T: Black Screen of WII!!!. Look at option 1 with bootmii. There is a link there to download the required files.

Still no luck... The wii still won't startup in Boot2. It's just running in standard 4.3e

if you had a boot2 versioin below v4 on your wii it would have been updated to boot2v4 by the 4.3 update - > erasing bootmii.
you have to resoftmod using the 4.3 guide in the recommended guides section

Damn, that sucks! Oh well, I guess I'm stuck and just gonna have to wait for a new exploit then (can't use Indiana Pwns as the game is so hard to find) :((((

as you have already been told, a new exploit is unlikely, you need one of those games, try rental or ebay or local stores.
